Producer, Choreographer, U/S “Aditi”

Shivani Thakkar (she/her), a multi-hyphenate artist, has worked in dance and theater for the past two decades. Her body of work includes producing, directing, choreography, acting, and education. Select theater credits include: Terence McNally’s A Perfect Ganesh (Assistant Director, Choreographer, and Performer, Theatricum Botanicum), Anna Christie (Assistant Director, Odyssey Theater), Rasa Kalaa (Solo Performer, A Noise Within), Myth & Miracles (Solo Performer, 24th Street Theater), Summer Sounds (Choreographer LA Philharmonic/Hollywood Bowl), ABCD staged reading (Actor, Occidental New Works Festival), Dhadkan: Pulse – Festival of Indian Dance and Music (Producer). Shivani has graced the stages at the Smithsonian, Skirball Center, LACMA, DC Dance Place, Battery Dance Festival, and has toured internationally in Canada, India, and Japan. Her film/TV work include the hit Four Samosas (IFC & Tribeca Film Festival), Big Time Rush, New Girl, Disney’s Step Up 3D, and Bollywood films. Shivani serves on the Board of Directors at A Noise Within Theater, and is on faculty at Occidental College and AMDA LA.
